Arimidex is a medication that is used to treat hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It's a first-line treatment in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive or hormone receptor-unknown breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It's also used as a second-line treatment in postmenopausal women with breast cancer that has progressed despite tamoxifen therapy.
 
Arimidex is available in a 1 mg tablet for oral use.
